How to Reboot your Set-top Box

If you experience problems with your TV service, you can reboot your system with the following steps:

• Press and release the STB button on the remote control.
• Press and release the red Power button on the remote control.
• Unplug the power source on the set-top box. 
• Wait 10 seconds. 
• Reboot your DSL modem.
• Turn off your computer(s).
• Unplug your modem.
• Wait ten seconds.
• Plug in your modem. Wait for the Power and Ready lights to remain solid.
• Reconnect the power source to the set-top box.

Bypass entering password each time the set-top box is reset. Go to MENU, SETTINGS, PREFERENCES. Uncheck ENABLE LOGIN.

Correcting Picture/Sound Issues

• Make sure MUTE is not pressed on the remote control.
• The correct TV code should be input in the remote control.
• Make sure all cables are connected properly and that your TV is tuned to the correct RF channel for the TV you are using.
• If the video output on the STB is connected to the Video IN input on the TV, make sure the TV is set to the correct video input.
• Check the Coaxial cable to make sure it is tight.
• Unplug large electrical appliances nearby, such as a treadmill.

If VCR is connected using RCA jacks, VCR must be ON.

Configuring Your Remote Control

TV Mode
Press TV, then MENU to control the television.

STB Mode
Press STB, then MENU to display the Electronic Program Guide (EPG).

Programming the remote to control the TV

• Simultaneously press and hold the TV and OK buttons on the remote.
• After approximately 2 seconds, the TV button will light.
• Release the TV and OK buttons–the TV button remains illuminated.
• Enter the 3-digit brand code (see chart for codes).
• The TV button will flash off and on again when each digit is entered.
• When the third digit has been entered, the TV button will go out.
• Verify that the remote control works with the TV.
• If the brand code entered is incomplete, after several seconds, the remote will exit the TV brand code entry mode and the TV brand code will be unchanged.
• If the remote does not recognize a TV code, the TV button will flash rapidly for a second and remain illuminated. If this happens, re-enter the correct TV brand code.
• Most TV makes have more than one brand code listed in the brand code table–try all brand codes that are listed for that make until a match is found.
